Jordan's Senior year, Maddy's 8th grade year, and Isabel is in 3rd grade.
Maddy is doing great. She is walking with her brace. The swelling has come way down. There is still some fluid on her knee, but the doctor said that will absorb in time. She is feeling a little irritated with the whole thing though. She is wanting to move faster, and has got a lot of unused energy that is frustrating for her. But she has learned to let people help her, which is a blessing for her.
Jordan had her "1st" game on Friday night. It was actually her second, but Nathan and I missed her first one due to Maddy's ER visit. She did great and the half time show was perfect, I can't say the same for the football game. Partly, because I was reading when Jordan wasn't cheering and the other part was the scoreboard. 56-0. Ouch! Oh, well there is always next week, right??
Well, the two oldest beauties are home from NY with Grandma, and they had a great time. Then two days later it was off to girls camp for the two of them and me. Girls camp was amazing. It was way different being in the camp directorship than just going as a leader, but worth every minute of work to see those girls having fun and hearing their sweet testimonies on Friday night. To hear how they don't feel they fit in at school or with friends and how when they are at camp they feel loved and closer to their Heavenly Father is what it is all about. And being in the mountains, surrounded by the beauty of the earth and no intreuptions from the outside world is such a peaceful, spiritual uplifting place to be.
OK OK I know it has been way too long since we have updated. We have made a new commitment to update more often. Check us out tomorrow for some new pics. Love D
