Back to Reality, Sort of

Well, the two oldest beauties are home from NY with Grandma, and they had a great time. Then two days later it was off to girls camp for the two of them and me. Girls camp was amazing. It was way different being in the camp directorship than just going as a leader, but worth every minute of work to see those girls having fun and hearing their sweet testimonies on Friday night. To hear how they don't feel they fit in at school or with friends and how when they are at camp they feel loved and closer to their Heavenly Father is what it is all about.
And being in the mountains, surrounded by the beauty of the earth and no intreuptions from the outside world is such a peaceful, spiritual uplifting place to be.

Birthday Beauty

Today are baby turned 8!!! I can't believe it. It seems like she was just born. We are so blessed to have such wonderful, healthy, happy kids. She had a great time with a Sleep Over Spa Party on Friday night with one of her friends. Then today she had a family birthday party with chocolate cake with snow flakes and chocolate ice cream.

Dreams

It's that time of year that you can't help but wish you could head out to the warm beach. It just might snow on Izzy's birthday this weekend. She is really hoping for that. She loves to turn on all the Christmas tree lights and was out setting them up in them up at 9:30 at night last week.
Tomorrow is Jordan's Winter Formal. Diana is busy sewing a new skirt for Izzy. Maddy has caught the Twilight bug and can't stop reading. Dad is trying to join the 21st century and learn how to blog.

Everyone is loving our new house. We finally got our Christmas decorations up. It was really a chore to figure out how we wanted to decorate in a new house. Diana and the Three Beauties did a great job. We will have to post some pics of our two trees.
Other than the weeds that won't stop even in the middle of winter we are very happy with out new place. We also added a puppy to our household a few months ago. We are way too busy and are trying to figure out how to slow everything down.
I figured out how to use our fireplace...stop laughing...it needed a few D batteries for the starter. Who knew?
