Pajaro Dunes 2010

We went to Pajaro Dunes right after school got out for 3 glorious days!!! I really wish I could live there. It is so beautiful. The weather is perfect for mom and day, but our beauties felt it is a was little too cold and prefer the So-Cal beaches. We all do love to be at the beach though.
We had some fun in the sun and some of us were afraid we might get too much sun so they only allowed a small amount of her face to be exposed while reading, The Short second Life of Bree Tanner, maybe she thought she would sparkle ;)

Girls Camp

Maddy and I had a great time at Girls Camp this year!! Our theme was, 'Like a Lighthouse'. Maddy got to go on her 3rd year overnight hike!! She was not very excited about staying out over night and not having a toilet to use, Oh and the hiking part, but she did it!!! I am so proud of her. She was faced with something she didn't really want to do, but she put her mind to it and had a great time. Maddy does want to point out that even though the hike wasn't that bad, but she doesn't want to do it again!!

I was so proud of those girls, as I am every time I see them walking back into came singing the Liahona song. They just put on those big packs and faithfully follow their leaders off into the mountains, knowing they will be protected by the priesthood who give up their time and come back dirty and with these huge smiles on their faces knowing they just accomplished something they were all doubting they had the strength to do. I love Girls Camp so much and am so grateful that my girls have the opportunity to go and grow not only as people but as Daughters of our Heavenly Father.
